25일 프리스틴 카일라는 자신의 인스타그램에 “하이(팬클럽), 이런 글을 올리게 돼서 미안하다”고 말문을 열었다.
카일라는 먼저 “플레디스 걸즈 시절부터 응원해준 분들에게 너무 미안하고 감사하다”고 프리스틴 해체 심경을 밝혔다.
이어 카일라는 “프리스틴은 해체됐지만 우리가 함께 했던 추억과 우리가 이룬 성과에 대해서는 기쁘다. 앞으로는 프리스틴 카일라가 아닌 카일라를 응원해달라”며 “9년 동안 플레디스에서 연습생 생활과 프리스틴으로 활동하며 놀라운 경험을 했고, 두 번째 가족을 가질 수 있어서 행운이었다”고 말했다.
앞서 지난 24일 플레디스 엔터테인먼트는 “신중한 선택을 내려야 하는 부분이기에 충분한 시간을 두고 많이 생각하고, 논의 끝에 프리스틴 멤버들의 뜻을 존중하기로 하였고, 프리스틴 해체 및 당사와의 계약 종료라는 결론을 내게 됐다”고 밝혔다. 결경, 예하나, 성연을 제외한 나영, 로아, 유하, 은우, 레나, 시연, 카일라는 24일을 끝으로 플레디스와 전속 계약 해지를 결정했다.

I am so devastated that I have to be uploading this post and I know that so many of you have a million questions. For now, I just want to say I am so sorry and also incredibly grateful to all of you who have supported us from the beginning from when we were Pledis Girlz to now. While Pristin has officially disbanded, I would like to ask you all not to be upset and angry, but rather joyous of the memories that we‘ve had together and all of the amazing things we have accomplished. Moving forward, I hope you all will find it in your hearts to support me as Kyla Massie instead of Pristin Kyla. I had been with Pledis for approximately 9 years now and I am very lucky to have had this amazing experience and to have had such a wonderful second family. Thank you.
